Lynn A. Peterson has served as a director of the Company since November 2001, and President and Chief Executive Officer since July 2002. Mr. Peterson has over 25 years of industry experience. Mr. Peterson was an owner of CP Resources, LLC, an independent oil and natural gas company from 1986 to 2001. Mr. Peterson served as Treasurer of Deca Energy from 1981 to 1986. Mr. Peterson was employed by Ernst and Whinney as a certified public accountant prior to this time. He received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Northern Colorado in 1975.
James E. Catlin has served as a director of the Company since February 2001, Secretary and Chairman since July 2002, and Chief Operating Officer since June 2006. Mr. Catlin has over 30 years of geologic experience, primarily in the Rocky Mountain Region. Mr. Catlin was an owner of CP Resources LLC, an independent oil and natural gas company from 1986 to 2001. Mr. Catlin was a founder and Vice-President of Deca Energy from 1980 to 1986 and worked as a district geologist for Petroleum Inc. and Fuelco prior to this time. He received a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters degree in Geology from the University of Northern Illinois in 1973.
Keith Doss joined Kodiak as Chief Financial Officer in May, 2008. Mr. Doss brings to Kodiak over 20 years of public and private company experience in accounting and financial management including natural gas marketing, contract administration, project management, and systems design and analysis. Prior to joining Kodiak, Mr. Doss held various accounting and controller positions at energy industry companies including, most recently, Gasco Energy, Western Gas Resources, Red Cedar Gathering Company, Southern Ute Indian Tribe, Ensign Oil and Gas and Burlington Resources, where he spent 10 years of his career. He is a CPA and holds a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science both in Accounting from The University of North Texas.

Russ D. Cunningham joined Kodiak as the Northern Rockies Exploration Manager in September 2004. He has 27 years experience in oil and gas exploration, primarily in the Rocky Mountain Region and the Mid-Continent Region, as well as international experience in Colombia, South America and Russia. Mr. Cunningham was most recently with Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation exploring in Wyoming’s Wind River Basin, the Paradox Basin of Colorado and Utah, and the Williston Basin of Montana and North Dakota. Prior to Cabot, Mr. Cunningham served as Vice-President Exploration for GHK Colombia Company, a subsidiary of Seven Seas Exploration. Mr. Cunningham has a Masters Degree in Geology from the University of Tulsa, Tulsa, Oklahoma and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists and the Geologic Society of America.
David G. Majewski has served as Kodiak's Southern Rockies Exploration Manager since September 2004. He has 31 years of experience focused throughout the Rocky Mountain region. Mr. Majewski joins Kodiak Oil & Gas from Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation where his exploration efforts were conducted in Wyoming’s Green River, Wind River, Big Horn and Red Desert Basins. Prior to Cabot, Mr. Majewski was an independent geologist and had worked as a consultant to various exploration and production companies in Denver. Mr. Majewski has a Masters Degree in Geology from the Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois and is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists and the Society of Economic Paleontologists and Mineralogists.
Michael N. Murray has served as Kodiak's Land Manager since August 2007. He has more than 28 years of experience in 38 states and the US Offshore. He has served in various capacities with Getty Oil Company, Texaco, Inc., Hallwood Production Company, Tom Brown, Inc. and Encana Oil & Gas (USA) Inc., where he was most recently Land Manager of the Green River Basin Asset Team. Mr. Murray has an extensive background in all phases of acquisitions and divestitures, prospect generation and operations. Mr. Murray, a Certified Professional Landman, earned a BA degree in Petroleum Land Management from the University of Oklahoma in 1981. He is a member of the Rocky Mountain Mineral Law Foundation, the Wyoming Association of Petroleum Landmen, the Denver Association of Petroleum Landmen, and the American Association of Petroleum Landmen and is a member of the Petroleum Association of Wyoming Lands Committee.
